There is often some confusion with migraine headaches as they can actually be either a chronic headache that lingers on seemingly forever or one that gradually builds in crescendo. Sometimes you get a headache and eventually it goes away. If it is a tension headache caused by stress then it will usually subside if you take a break and just relax for a while. Even people that suffer from migraine headaches can be diagnosed as having infrequent occurrences that do not require any more than some pain killers and maybe anti-inflammatory drugs to treat

But every once in a while you get a patient with a chronic headache that just does not seem to want to go away and those are the patients that you need to really keep an eye on. A chronic headache can not only affect your life but it can also affect the lives of those around you as you become more and more difficult to deal with the more often you get these chronic headaches.
